TUMMY TUCK AESTHETICS.
A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to correct looseness in the abdominal wall skin and muscles and repair excess skin sagging. This operation aims to achieve a flatter and firmer abdominal appearance. The surgery is suitable for individuals who are at a normal weight, experience abdominal deformities despite exercising, and have factors such as rapid weight gain and loss, childbirth, aging, genetic predisposition, and previous abdominal surgeries that cause muscle looseness and skin sagging.
It is recommended for individuals who are physically and mentally healthy, at a normal weight, and do not smoke. Before the surgery, it is advised to lose any excess weight, stop smoking, avoid using blood thinners, and ensure that there are no plans for pregnancy.

The tummy tuck surgery is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the technique used and any additional procedures. There are different types of tummy tucks, including mini tummy tuck, full tummy tuck, and circumferential tummy tuck.
The post-operative recovery process involves the placement of drains, use of a compression garment, prevention of edema and blood clots, and ensuring adequate nutrition and movement. The risks include anesthesia-related risks, infection, accumulation of blood or fluids, clot formation, and the possibility of stitches opening. It is important to note that a tummy tuck is not a weight loss surgery. The operation should be performed once the weight loss process is complete and weight stabilization is achieved. If pregnancy is planned, the tummy tuck should be postponed, as pregnancy can cause the abdominal muscles and skin to loosen again. There is no non-surgical method for a tummy tuck, and if you are at a normal weight, there is no method available to tighten the sagging skin. The surgery can be performed at least 6 months after the end of breastfeeding following childbirth.
