BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY.
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure that involves the surgical removal of excess tissue, fat, and skin from breasts that are excessively large and sagging. This procedure is performed to reduce the breast size to a proportionate level with the body and to give the breasts an aesthetic shape. The surgery is carried out under general anesthesia, during which the breast volume is reduced, the sagging nipple is repositioned upwards, and the breast is reshaped to an aesthetically pleasing form.
Excessively large breasts can lead to psychological issues, shoulder, back, and neck pain, breathing difficulties, and problems finding suitable clothing.
The benefits of the surgery include a reduction in back, neck, and shoulder pain, alleviation of skin irritation and rashes under the breasts, increased physical activity, enhanced self-confidence, reduced psychosocial depression, and a lower risk of developing breast cancer.
